Killeigh Abbey

Killeigh is an important multi-period site dating from at least the sixth century, containing an Augustinian priory and nunnery, a castle and a largely intact thirteenth century Franciscan friary. Since 2023 the IHS have conduced photogrammetry of the friary as well as a large collection (150+ pieces) of carved stone at the site. Separately we have also acted as project archaeologists for conservation works to the building.
